This week Musicnotes.com is proud to announce that tomorrow our new free sheet music download of the month will be a harmonious blend of classic Christmas carols. Both the guitar sheet music medley and the vocal/piano version are arranged to include I Saw Three Ships, Away in a Manger and the Sussex Carol. Musicnotes Premieres from Missy Higgins, Ben Folds, Coldplay and Chris Martin

This week we added sheet music for Warm Whispers by Missy Higgins, Hiroshima by Ben Folds and a song that surprised a few of us — Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Chris Martin of Coldplay.

You might not think that a band like Coldplay could carry a traditional Christmas tune like this one, but you’d be surprised. Performed acoustically by the lead singer and pianist, Chris Martin, this is a gorgeous rendition of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and offers a new look at a timeless Christmas song. The vocals are so rich you can hear every modulation in his voice and the piano chords are a bit unexpected.

If you’re working on your video talents for our contest, we’d also like to mention that Coldplay is featuring a video contest as well. Dubbed the Coldplay: Lost Video Competition you could win a trip to London, a backstage pass and two VIP tickets to their December show. Who wouldn’t want a trip to London?
