Ingrid Michaelson Winter Song Duet with Sara Bareilles
Posted on Nov 20, 2008 by Monica in Holidays, Popular Music & Artists
What happens when two great songwriters get together? Well, in this case you get Winter Song, written by Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles.
Featured on the Hotel Cafe Holiday Winter Songs collection, the Ingrid Michaelson Winter Song duet with Sara Bareilles is one of fifteen songs on this holiday CD. A portion of the proceeds from this holiday collection will go to charity. Here is a quote from their website about this new Holiday compilation celebrating the female singer-songwriter:
In the year of the female singer-songwriter, Epic Records and Hotel Cafe have partnered up to release Winter Songs -- a compilation of both original recordings as well as classic holiday tracks sung by a lineup of female singer-songwriters including many of those who have been featured with The Hotel Cafe including Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Brandi Carlile and KT Tunstall. --SOURCE: Hotel Cafe Wintersongs

Both Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson are touring separately, bringing a bit of holiday cheer mixed with their popular songs to a city near you.
Musicnotes.com was pleased to attend Ingrid Michaelson’s latest concert promoting her new album “Be OK.” We would like to thank Ingrid and her team for the opportunity to see their show; we loved it and would gladly go again.
Playing in front of a crowd of hundreds of people, as soon as Ingrid came on stage the crowd cheered. Her performance was flawless and we can tell you — her recordings do not do her voice enough justice. Ingrid’s voice techniques were impressive and her musical talents know no bounds. Her performance of Radiohead’s “Creep” was a nice treat and showed off a very gritty, acoustic side to the song. Also playing newly composed music (Everybody) and songs from her hit album “Be OK,” her performance was well over two hours long yet she didn’t look a bit tired at the end of it — she was full of energy and ready to keep on performing.
We walked away from the show with a smile on our face and a “song in our heart” not just because of her music, but because Ingrid did everything she could to reach out to the crowd. We heard stories about how much she loves good quiche, dancing squirrels and how she and her bandmates will watch old movies on the road. Accessible, real and down-to-earth, Ingrid Michaelson’s music reaches out to us because she is one of us. At her heart, it’s obvious she’s truly someone who loves music.
You can find out more about Ingrid Michaelson’s concert schedule, including radio shows, on her Ingrid Michaelson tour schedule. For information about Sara Bareilles on tour, visit her website located at Sara B Music.com.

The sheet music is “Winter Song”, but it is only part of the song. If we buy the sheet music will the rest of the song appear? The reason I am so interested is that our school has an a women’s choir, and I feel this song would be perfect for us to do a capella, and I need a little assistance on arranging the song. Thank you.
