YouPerform Contest. Now With More Prizes!

awardsWhile deciding the winner of Musicnotes.com YouPerform Contest for March, we’ve realized that we needed to make a change to our awards. You see, deciding “one” winner out of those twelve entries just didn’t seem fair to all the other contestants. Many of you have sent us emails and comments providing your feedback for the contest, and we agree that offering multiple awards is the right thing to do.

Effective for March’s contest and any month going forward, we will award first, second and third place prizes provided we have a minimum of ten entries. For first place the YouPerform contest winner will receive a gift certificate in the amount of $100, second place will receive a $50 certificate, and third place will receive a certificate for $25.

We will be contacting the winners of March’s contest today and we hope to provide you with a feature on these lucky winners soon. Thank you so much for helping us get our contest off the ground. We are really excited to see what April’s contest will hold! The more entries we receive, the more enhancements we’ll make to ensure that the contest is fun for everyone!

    Wasn’t sure where to comment… :)
I see the youperform competition has been postponed until further notice. What a pity! I thought it was a great competition and I can’t wait until it is up and running again!

It is really useful that (on top of the free sheet music for the month) a potential contestant can choose from the musicnotes editions list, but I found it a bit difficult to navigate.

I think it would be a good idea to categorise the list a bit further. Perhaps alphabetize them. And maybe have a search function to enable the user to find if a certain piece is in the musinotes editions list. It is quite difficult to look through the long list of pieces as they are, even with the categories that already exist.
