Guitar Guru Sessions for Songs Featured in Guitar Hero
Posted on Jan 13, 2009 by Monica.
Going through your song requests, we saw that some of you had asked for Guitar Guru Sessions for music from Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Video game sheet music is pretty interesting to track down because either music was specifically composed for the game, like with the Kingdom Hearts sheet music, or the game was designed using pre-existing songs. Rock Band and Guitar Hero both have used a lot of popular rock music in their design, so we were able to research pretty easily which songs have been featured in both of these popular video games.
We’ve compiled a list of Guitar Guru Sessions for songs that are featured in Guitar Hero in this post, and we’ll follow up with another one later this month about songs featured in Rock Band. There’s over 300 songs for us to still go through and see whether or not we’ll add a Guitar Guru Session to the list, so please — keep this link bookmarked and we will continue to update the post!
Thanks for your Guitar Guru Session requests! This post is for all of you music lovers out there, so hop on your guitar and learn your song! Don’t forget — every Guitar Guru Session we have also includes the corresponding guitar sheet music (also known as a guitar tab), so you can rock out long after you learn how to play it.

New Watchmen Trailer Guitar Sheet Music is Take a Bow by Muse
Posted on Nov 19, 2008 by Monica.
If you love superheroes and science fiction, you probably are eagerly anticipating the March 6, 2009 release of “The Watchmen.” This movie is based on a graphic novel written by Alan Moore (V for Vendetta) and many fans can’t wait for the film to be released.
Watchmen takes place in an alternate history United States where the country is edging closer to a nuclear war with the Soviet Union. After government-sponsored superhero The Comedian is found murdered, the vigilante Rorschach warns his former colleagues of what he believes is a conspiracy to kill costumed heroes. As the story progresses, the protagonists discover that one of the heroes has devised a plan to stave off war between the United States and the USSR by carrying out a plan that will kill millions of innocent people. --SOURCE: Wikipedia
We’re very excited to announce that the second trailer for Watchmen has been released, and it features the song by UK artist, Muse. We’re working on the Guitar Guru version of this song, but we do have the vocals and guitar sheet music for Take a Bow by Muse. It’s a challenging song, so you might want to consider checking out the Guitar Guru Session for Take a Bow, too. If you’re looking for other “hit” songs from superhero movies, check out our post about sheet music from superhero movies and TV shows.
Watch the trailer below or visit the official Watchmen website. Feel free to share your thoughts about this upcoming film.
