You can download it for free here.

Musicnotes Premieres: Jon McLaughlin and Maroon 5

This week we've added two great new Musicnotes Premieres (digital sheet music available first at Musicnotes.com).

The first of these is "Industry," another song from Jon McLaughlin's debut album, Indiana.  It joins our previous Jon McLaughlin Musicnotes Premiere: "Beautiful Disaster."

This week we have a few more Musicnotes Premieres (sheet music available exclusively at Musicnotes.com).  Songs this week include two fairly new selections (including one we promised in a blog response last week), and one classic that we're frankly shocked to see hadn't existed in print form (a problem we have since solved).

    Ben Folds - "Bruised"

    Mat Kearney - "Wait"

Lou Reed - "Satellite of Love"

Josh Groban: New Digital Sheet Music

Groban_awake For some time now, songs from Josh Groban's Awake album have been some of our most requested songs to make available in digital sheet music.  Well, for those of you who have been waiting (especially for "February Song") - your wait is now over.

This week we've added a large selection of new digital sheet music from Groban's Awake. Besides "February Song" (co-written by John Ondrasik from Five for Fighting), we've also added "Machine," "Lullaby," "Weeping" and a few others.

You can find them all, along with songs from Josh Groban's previous albums (including "You Raise Me Up," "Broken Vow," "Believe" and others) at our Josh Groban page.

    New 'Dreamgirls' Digital Sheet Music

Dreamgirls If you watched the Oscars, or just happened to see 'Dreamgirls' in the theater, you probably fell in love with a few songs from the film.  While the movie was based on a Broadway show (which was based on a fictionalized retelling of the story of Diana Ross and the Supremes), some of the movie's biggest songs were not from the original Broadway show.

While we've had sheet music for songs from the Broadway show, it wasn't until yesterday that we were finally able to offer digital sheet music for the original songs written specifically for the movie.  Of these songs, three of them were nominated for Oscars (although they were beaten out by the arguably less impressive Melissa Etheridge tune from 'An Inconvenient Truth').

Now you can learn to play all your favorites from the Broadway show or movie, including the Oscar-nominated songs "Listen," "Love You I Do" and "Patience" - or you can click here to browse all digital sheet music from 'Dreamgirls.'

Toad the Wet Sprocket Classic - Now Available for Piano

If you were into music in the 90s - especially the adult-alternative music that was popular during the era, you're likely to fondly remember Toad the Wet Sprocket.  Even if you weren't a big fan, chances are you do remember their biggest hit, "All I Want."

For years, the only sheet music that has been available for this song has been guitar tablature.  Well, that's finally changed - as we have just added a Musicnotes Premiere arrangement of "All I Want" scored for piano/vocal/chords.

If you're a Toad fan, or just want to take a stroll down memory lane, click here for the piece.

Bkhl690030 And speaking of Toad the Wet Sprocket, if you're a guitarist be sure to check out our Guitar Tab and Guitar Guru Sessions for the band.  Over the last few weeks we've added a wide selection of their best songs in tab and Guitar Guru format.  You can browse them here.

    Final Fantasy Sheet Music

If you're a fan of video games, chances are you've played at least one of the entries in the Final Fantasy series.  You're probably also aware that the Final Fantasy game series has some of the best music composed for video games.

Now you can learn to play all your favorite themes from Final Fantasy with our digital sheet music arranged for solo piano.  From the memorable arpeggios of "The Prelude" to the moving Final Fantasy VII piece "Holding My Thoughts In My Heart," if you're a fan of Final Fantasy these themes are going to bring back quite a few fond memories.

If you haven't ever played the Final Fantasy games, but like classical and new age piano music, we still highly recommend taking a listen to a few samples.  You just might find a few themes that you like, even if you never heard them before.

Browse all Final Fantasy sheet music downloads here.

    New Ben Folds Sheet Music

Lately we've been hard at work creating piano/vocal/chords arrangements of songs from Ben Folds's latest album, Supersunnyspeedgraphic the LP.  In last week's Musicnotes Update (our e-newsletter, for those of you who don't subscribe) we featured sheet music for "Learn to Live With What You Are."

This week we've added sheet music for another song from the album, Folds's cover of The Cure's "In Between Days." If you're at all a fan of either Folds or The Cure, it's definitely worth picking up, as Folds did a great job reworking the song for piano while still keeping the feel of the original quite intact.  Our sheet music arrangement matches Folds' recording, so it's a great way to learn to play this Cure classic on piano.

Check back soon as we continue to add sheet music for additional songs from Supersunnyspeedgraphic, including Folds's cover of Dr. Dre's song that has too naughty of a title for me to mention here, as well as "Bruised" (originally by Ben Folds's mini side project with Ben Lee and Ben Kweller, "The Bens"), "There's Always Someone Cooler Than You" and others.

Oh yeah... and if you want to check out all the Ben Folds an Ben Folds Five sheet music currently available at Musicnotes, you can do so here.

'Music and Lyrics' Movie Sheet Music

Way Back Into Love Sheet MusicThe new movie, 'Music and Lyrics,' starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore opens in theaters today, and Musicnotes has digital sheet music for all the major songs from the film.  If you're unfamiliar with the movie, here's a brief synopsis.

Alex Fletcher, a washed-up '80s pop star is given a couple days to compose a chart-topping hit for an admiring teen sensation.

The only problem is he's never written lyrics before! Enter Sophie Fisher, a wiz with words.

Things start heating up between the pair - both on and under the piano - and they discover they must confront their fears to find love and success.

You can get the sheet music here, at our 'Music and Lyrics' sheet music feature page:
    http://www.musicnotes.com/features/promo/musicandlyrics/

February Free Sheet Music Piece Now Available

The February free sheet music download is now available on our Free Sheet Music page.  This month's selection is "You're In Love!" - in honor of Valentine's Day.  You can learn more about the song at the free page, but it's from the 1917 Broadway show of the same name, which was produced by Arthur Hammerstein, uncle of Oscar Hammerstein II.

Last Chance to Download "Winter" Sheet Music for Free

Seeing as how today's the last day of January, now's your last chance to download free sheet music for "Winter" - our January Free Sheet Music Song.  Starting tomorrow the piece will only be available as a "for purchase" selection and will be replaced with our February Free Song of the Month.

What will February's song be?  You'll have to wait to find out.  I'll tell you this though - it's a fitting selection given the holidays in February... and it has absolutely nothing to do with groundhogs.

New Heartland & Daniel Powter Premieres

This week we added two new Musicnotes Premieres (Musicnotes-produced officially licensed arrangements, not available anywhere else) for some songs that many of you have been looking for.

One of the songs is the new single from Heartland, the same band that wrote and performed the wedding favorite "I Loved Her First."  The new song is called "Built to Last" and is also destined to become a favorite for weddings and anniversaries. You can get the sheet music here.

We've also added sheet music for Daniel Powter's newest single, "Love You Lately."  The song is featured on the reissue of Daniel Powter's self-titled debut album - the same album "Bad Day" is on.

    Free Jack's Mannequin Sheet Music

New Evanescence Sheet Music Available for Download

Evanescence Sheet Music Seeing as how we've received a lot of requests for digital sheet music for all the new Evanescence songs (meaning their "The Open Door" album), we thought we'd let you all know digital sheet music is finally available.

Musicnotes Premiere: "The Kill" by 30 Seconds to Mars

We've gotten a lot of requests for guitar tab for "The Kill (Bury Me)" by 30 Seconds to Mars, so we went ahead and put together a Musicnotes-exclusive arrangement of the song (in digital guitar tab format) for you.

Click here to rock out like Jared Leto.

Another New Song from Josh Groban (and Imogen Heap)

We've heard your requests for more digital sheet music for songs from Josh Groban's new album, and this week we've added another new song: "Now or Never."

A bit of trivia on "Now Or Never" - the song was co-written by Imogen Heap, who is up for a Best New Artist Grammy this year.  It's a little odd that she's up for Best New Artist since she's already released several albums, including her work with Frou Frou... but we're not the ones to set the rules for the Grammys.

Either way, her music is worth checking out if you haven't already done so.  A little different from Josh Groban, but very solid songwriting.  You probably will recognize her if you were a fan of Garden State.

Also, we're still working on getting sheet music for the rest of the new Groban album, since we know the song you really want is "February Song."  Don't worry, we're on it.

Daughtry "It's Not Over" Guitar Tab Download

We just added a Musicnotes-exclusive digital guitar tab arrangement of Daughtry's (of American Idol) hit single "It's Not Over."  You can download the tab here.

Or if you're waiting for the Guitar Guru Session, expect it sometime Tuesday.  We'll post on the blog when it's available, since so many of you have been asking for it.

"It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" Surpasses 20,000 Downloads

This month's free sheet music download, a Musicnotes-original arrangement of the classic Christmas carol "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," has been downloaded over 20,000 times.  This makes the song, by far, the most popular Free Sheet Music of the Month since we started the program in June of this year.

For October we've done something a little bit different.  This month's free download is "The Teddy Bears' Picnic" - but rather than give out the same old arrangement you've heard over and over, we've scared it up a little, making it our Halloween Version of the song.

You can download it here: http://www.musicnotes.com/free/

Let us know what you think.  Did you like this different take on the song?  Or would you have rather gotten the more traditional version?  Should we offer more of these Musicnotes-exclusive "interpretive" arrangements in the future?

    The Fray Sheet Music

The Fray continue to be one of our most popular artists at Musicnotes - with sheet music from two of their songs in our top 5 downloads.  This week their new single "How to Save a Life" has moved up to the #2 position, overtaking the sheet music for "Over My Head (Cable Car)" - due to in part to its inclusion on the new Grey's Anatomy soundtrack.

We've put together a new feature page for The Fray to make it easier to browse their sheet music.  If you're looking for sheet music for The Fray, go here.

    Chris Brown: Say Goodbye

This month a lot of you have been looking for sheet music for Chris Brown's song "Say Goodbye" from the movie Step Up.  We now have it available as digital sheet music here:

New Daniel Powter Sheet Music & TAB

As the piano/vocal/guitar arrangement of Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" continues to be our fastest-selling sheet music title of all time, we've added more sheet music from Daniel Powter.

If you liked "Bad Day," his song "Free Loop" is probably right up your alley - and you can download the sheet music here. (we're also currently the only place that has this song available).

Or if you like "Bad Day" but are a guitarist, we've just added a digital guitar tab edition of the song.  You can download the tab for "Bad Day" here.

A Guitar Guru Session is also currently being produced, and should be available on our site next Tuesday.

Musicnotes Premiere: "Curious" by Holly Brook

Know that Fort Minor song "Where'd You Go?"  The woman singing the chorus is named Holly Brook - and she just released her debut album, Like Blood Like Honey.

This week Musicnotes added our own arrangement of her song "Curious" - featured on the album.  If you're a fan of music like Sarah McLachlan or Dido, you'll probably find this new song a nice addition to your catalog.

The sheet music for this song is currently only available for sale at Musicnotes.com, and you can find it here: http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0053676

... and if you're looking for more Holly Brook sheet music, let us know which songs you'd like to see on our site.

Finally! "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter

Throughout 2006 the most requested sheet music title at Musicnotes has been Daniel Powter's song "Bad Day."  Due to copyright restrictions, we were currently only able to sell the song outside the United States and Canada - which was good for customers who don't live in the U.S... but the majority of our customers live in the United States.

Finally we have good news for all of you who have been looking for the sheet music for the song.  Last Friday we were able to add the sheet music in digital format through our relationship with Famous Music. Since we've added it, the song has been our top-selling song (aside from a few patriotic songs that found a boost due to Independence Day).

And in case you're wondering where you heard the song... it was featured at the end of American Idol shows when they "kicked" off a contestant.

Taylor Hicks (American Idol) Sheet Music

In case you missed it in the newsletter, this past Friday we added new digital sheet music for "Do I Make You Proud" by the latest American Idol winner, Taylor Hicks.

We also have digital sheet music for the Doobie Brothers song, "Takin' It To the Streets" - which was covered by Taylor Hicks on his debut CD Single.

    A Few Great Latecomers

This week, in addition to our regular Tuesday "push" of new digital sheet music to the site, we also had a second "push" of new digital sheet music last night.  So, if you haven't checked this week's what's new list since last night, you might want to.

New additions since Tuesday include sheet music for a variety of songs from The Beatles, Sarah McLachlan, Ben Folds Five, Oasis, Norah Jones and others - all now in the Musicnotes Digital Sheet Music format.  There are quite a few gems there, including some great material for piano and guitar.

    Free Sheet Music

In case you didn't see it in our weekly newsletter, this month we're starting a new feature on Musicnotes.com - our "Free Song of the Month."

Each month we'll be offering a new free song available as a digital sheet music download - this month's selection is "On, Wisconsin!" (what can we say, we're based out of Madison).

After the month is ended, the song will go back into our "purchase-only" catalog, and we'll select a new song.  So, if you haven't already gotten your copy, stop by our "free sheet music" area of our site and download yours.

There are quite a few other songs available for free download there also, as well as a variety of blank manuscript paper styles.

    This Week's New Music

Due to the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, our weekly posting of new digital sheet music to the Musicnotes.com site was delayed a day.  As new digital sheet music is generally posted on Tuesdays, this week the new music was posted on Wednesday (today).

So, if you want to check out what's new this week, you can do so here:
This Week's New Digital Sheet Music

There's a pretty good variety of music this week, including several Harry Potter and other pop music pieces arranged for a variety of instruments other than piano and guitar.  There's also a lot of new sheet music from Creedence Clearwater Revival, Frank Sinatra and others.

Plus we just added Musicnotes digital sheet music for Il Divo's Italian-language version of our current best seller, You Raise Me Up: Por Ti Seré

Anyway, there's a lot of new stuff - as you'll see when you visit the page.
