The Muse boys returned in late 2009 with their fifth studio album, The Resistance. Their much-anticipated follow-up to 2006′s Black Holes and Revelations has been greeted with critical acclaim for its scope, grandeur and classical musical influences. It sold around 148,000 copies in the UK in the first week alone, reaching the number one slot in the album charts in 19 countries and getting to number 3 in the U.S. Billboard charts.
